#BEST SPLIT SCREEN GAMES ON STEAM PC#
Yes it's true that typically it's console games and console audiences who make gaming a more living room social experience - but why should they have a monopoly on it? It's the same game, and splitscreen multiplayer has been a staple of the console experience since the beginning. So why shouldn't we have a feature that they do? Imagine if the PC got a port of Smash Bros & it had a 1 player limit per PC. It's a single feature that opens up the game to far more modes of play & a broader audience.

Of whom maybe not all have a gaming pc, or a console, or the same console, but most will have a bluetooth or USB controller.Ī lan party is much easier to make happen if not everyone needs their own PC to do it. It'd also make the game more social for casuals & would make it a much easier thing for people out for a nostalgia trip to do a LAN party with a group of friends. The copies 343i would sell for splitscreen wouldn't just be to the people here asking for it - it'd be to the big casual gaming market out there of people who never played before who could try out a game of Halo with a friend or relative through split screen. Same with the youtube comments & the waypoint forum. And you'd have a point if we didn't have a new topic every week with someone new to the forums asking where split screen is. I'm gonna guess you weren't around when Halo 5 launched & had no splitscreen. This thread is a great example as there is 4 people here talking back and forth, and idk about you but I personally don't count 4 people as a "Ton" or anything close to selling a "Shed loads of copies" because of Split Screen.

That's why there is barely any people who ever comment on this type of topic. And before you say "Wtf do you mean, tons of people care" Yep, totally. here me out, maybe it's not a thing because people don't care about it. Other than the bs reason of selling more copies.when in actual fact splitscreen would sell shed loads more copies over no splitscreen as it's arguably the best feature, halo is better when played in splitscreen with friends and family. we know the mcc can do it and pc's can handle it much more smoothly than on console so there's no real excuse for not having it on the pc port. Exactly, it's real chore for many, it's just not worth the hassle.
